Common Questions about My Services
I know you might have some questions about my pet care services, and here’s where I’ll answer some of them! If you have a question that I don’t address here though, feel free to contact me and I’ll be happy to answer.
Do you offer a Meet & Greet?
Yes. Before any pet care services are provided I will come to your home to meet you and your pets. We’ll go over relevant information about your pets, your home, and I’ll ask you to show me where all the pet supplies are. I’m also happy to answer any questions you may have.
Is your business bonded & insured?
Yes, through Business Insurers of the Carolinas.
How far in advance should I book services?
I require at least 5 days notice for new clients. I am flexible with current clients, as long as I have availability.
Do you work on holidays?
Yes, I’m available 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.
Do you board animals in your home?
No. I visit your pets in your own home. See my Blacksburg Pet Care Services page for a list of my services.
Can you visit my cats every other day?
No. I require at least one visit per day for cats. Going 48 hours between visits can mean the difference between life and death as cats’ health can decline very quickly if something happens. So, for the safety of your cat, I don’t do every other day visits.
When is payment due?
I accept payment at the completion of service.
For services longer than 2 weeks, a 50% deposit is required prior to service.
How can I pay you?
Cash, Zelle, Venmo, and Debit Card, MC, Visa, American Express.
Should I let you know when I get home after a trip?
Yes! Send me a text, call me, or email me to let me know you’re home. If I don’t hear from you I will come to your home for a regular pet sitting visit, which will be billed at my regular rate.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Dog Walks and Exercise Visits – cancellations after 9pm the night before any scheduled service will be charged full price of the visit.
Vacation travel – In order to receive credits for future visits, cancellations must be made 7 days before the start date of service. No credit will be given for cancellations with less than 7 days notice.
If you arrive home early, there will be no refunds or credits. You have already paid for my time, which I have booked specifically for you.
No Refunds
I do not offer refunds. However, with appropriate notice, as noted above, I will offer credit that can be used for 6 months after the date of your cancelled service.
